Lethbridge, AB - January 18, 2010 - Staff and students at Reeves College in Lethbridge celebrated the accomplishments of one of their own on Friday, January 15, 2010. The campus surprised Accounting and Payroll Administration instructor Karrie Geremia (pictured) with a cake in recognition of her successful thesis defense toward a Master's of Science degree specializing in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge.

According to Campus Director Penni Kiss, the college wanted to recognize both a milestone achievement in the popular instructor's career development and her pursuit of higher education.

"We are proud of Karrie's success and pleased with her commitment to continued learning," says Kiss. "We are also very happy to have her on staff at Reeves College."

Geremia, who also teaches in the college's Business Administration Management program, will spend the coming months doing minor revisions to her thesis in preparation for graduation in June 2010.
