An irregular sleep pattern, a sedentary lifestyle and a tendency to worry about big projects may contribute to increased stress levels for many new paralegals. But, it doesn't have to be this way. By slightly altering their daily schedules and following a few helpful tips, new professionals can reduce stress and drastically change their productivity levels.
Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. A person's body becomes accustomed to a regular routine and eventually develops a natural inclination to wake up at the right time without any alarm clock. On days where paralegals anticipate a busier day at the office, they can benefit from waking just 45 minutes to an hour earlier than usual, to encourage a better start to the daily to-do list.
Stay calm when faced with a big project. Instead of looking at the assignment as one massive production, break it up into smaller pieces and complete each small task one at a time. Completing each task will feel like an accomplishment and encourage you to keep going.
Aspiring paralegals can begin to practice these skills in the career-focused Paralegal program at Reeves College. For more information, fill out the form on the right.
Testimonials
Wonderful teachers and excellent staff coordinators. I had a very great experience attending Reeves North with my online program and highly recommend them to anyone who may be considering attending post secondary education or either after high school or changing careers or even to upgrade current degrees. Huge thumbs up!
