Edmonton, AB – February 13, 2013 – With unemployment front and centre in the news today, more people are sticking with jobs that make them unhappy, for fear of not finding something better. But, many sectors in Alberta are expected to see above-average growth over the next several years, and Reeves College is showcasing their related training programs at a Provincial Open House on February 21, 2013.

Job openings in administration, food and accommodation services, accounting and oil and gas will exceed those in other areas of employment between now and 2016 according to Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education.

The Open House will take place at all Reeves College campuses from 6:00pm to 8:00pm allowing Albertans to explore their career options and see what Reeves has to offer. From exceptional career services to student financial aid support, Reeves College staff and faculty will be on hand to answer all questions and help steer attendees toward a career they’ll love.

“We know there are a number of career fields that are in need of talented, well-trained individuals because we work directly with industry advisors when developing our curriculum,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for Reeves College. “There’s no need to get up every morning dreading your job when you can be trained and back in the workforce in less than a year doing something you’re passionate about.”

Open House guests will have a chance to tour the campus nearest them, speak with staff, current students and faculty, and learn more about the career outcomes of some of Reeves College’s most popular programs.
