During the month of February, Lethbridge campus hosted a clothing drive for all students on campus. Students had the opportunity to donate and trade professional business clothing.

“There a lot of students who don’t have access to affordable business clothing for interviews and their practicum placements,” says Penni Kiss, Campus Director, Lethbridge. “We hope through this initiative we can help to ease the burden of acquiring a professional wardrobe upon graduation.”

Clothing was sorted and sized by student volunteers, upon receiving all the donations, so students could browse the assortment at their leisure. Anything that was not claimed by the deadline of February 21 was placed aside for donation to the YWCA Harbour House Women’s Emergency Shelter.

As an added bonus, Lethbridge campus was able to donate hundreds of items (four giant bags) to Harbour House to help women and children in need of basic necessities. Learn more about the YWCA Harbour House here.

“We were thrilled at the success of this event,” says Penni. “We hope to do more clothing drives like this in the future.”

Wonderful teachers and excellent staff coordinators. I had a very great experience attending Reeves North with my online program and highly recommend them to anyone who may be considering attending post secondary education or either after high school or changing careers or even to upgrade current degrees. Huge thumbs up!
