Canada Named One of the Best Countries for Entrepreneurs

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Students enrolled in business management courses may have dreams of opening their own businesses. While they may face many challenges along the way, a new report from Ernst & Young suggests that Canadian students may actually find themselves in the perfect environment to achieve their entrepreneurial goals.

In its latest business barometer, prepared for the upcoming G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit, Ernst & Young surveyed roughly 1,000 entrepreneurs from countries involved in the economic summit. The results showed that Canada was among the strongest nations to launch a new company, with good showings in the areas of business confidence, startup costs, the availability of good coaching and education programs, and a strong banking sector.

Canadian entrepreneurs also showed a lot of pride in their country, with 70 per cent of the Canadian responders showing confidence in the nation's economy.

Vivian Prokop, the chief executive of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, feels that this good faith is mutual, claiming that the country believes in its young entrepreneurs.

"Entrepreneurs have a key role to play in fostering Canada's growth, creating jobs and cultivating innovation and prosperity," claimed Prokop in the Vancouver Sun.

Students with their hearts set on opening a business of their own can receive the business background and knowledge they need through business management  courses at Reeves College. Fill in the form to your right to learn how you can get started at Reeves College today.
